Mountain Biking

The versatile terrain is ideal for adventure trails or just riding for fun. For the experienced rider or beginner. The trails vary from 5km up to 70km. Our setting is ideal for clinics and races.

Hiking

Armed with two maps, the hiker can explore our various routes from 2km to 36km, with the option to spend one night in a tent in our famous bush camp.
The terrain is always changing from sandy on the river, rough in the cliffs, with its waterfalls, to more level on the plato.

4X4 excursions

The driver can take his family on our eco route, equipped with a map you can explore 1500ha with its rock art, historical landmarks and various bird life. For an adrenalin rush you can visit Zodiac 4X4, a 25km course which will keep you busy the whole day, only a 20 minute drive from your chalet.

Fly Fishing

During winter the devoted fisherman can prove his skills by catching the dodgy small -mouth Yellow fish in the Orange River. During Summer the Rainbow Trout can be caught in the Karnemelkspruit, 1.5 hours drive from your chalet.

Bird watching

In an area abundant in bird life, you can view among others the following: Black Eagle, Fish Eagle. little Bandit Goshawk, Cattle Egret, little Egret, Grey Herron, Red Knobbed Coot, Yellow Billed Duck, Egyptian Geese, Black Headed Heron, Helmeted guinea Fowl, Reed Cormorant, Red Eyed Bulbul, Spotted Eagle Owl, Barn Owl and Tawny Eagle. Because we go to great distances not to disturb the wildlife, this area is ideal for nesting.

Horse riding

We have schooled horses available for a relaxing outride from the mountains to the riverbed. Luxury stables are also available to stable your own horse.

Beach Games

On a natural beach on the banks of the Orange River is ample space for a game of volleyball or touch rugby. For the more traditional a tournament of old fashioned "Boere sports" can be arranged.

Hunting Trips

Tailor made hunting trips - 15 Species of game available on nearby Game Farms. Plan a father-and-son getaway, with hunting and fishing, combined with the luxury of comfortable sleeping quarters and hot water in our cosy chalets.
